Hello John,
I am Carolina Jiménez, the new President of WOLA. It is my pleasure to call attention to the incredible work of our honorees and the work of WOLA as we uphold and defend human rights in the Americas.
During these difficult times, it is easy to fall into despair and feel discouraged by continued inequality and undue suffering. In order to keep energized about pushing the arc of justice further, it is important to recognize those who join us in pushing that arc. We honor the work of other human rights leaders because we cannot do this work alone. The efforts of these people inspire us to continue our efforts to advance human rights.
Our online tribute will bring a global audience together, beyond Washington D.C., to celebrate the tremendous work of our honorees in defending human rights, peace, and social justice.
By coming together, we can create a better tomorrow where peace and justice is accessible to all in the Americas. WOLA is paving the way for humane U.S. policies that advance social change in Latin America and the Caribbean, and your support plays a crucial role.
Join us virtually at 8 p.m. EDT on Wednesday September 22, 2021 and help us continue the work of human rights.
If you’re already registered and were planning to upgrade your ticket, you can do that now and up your support for our work.
