The 2020 hurricane season started on June first and quickly served up Tropical Storm Cristobal. While many of us are experienced when it comes to preparing for storms, the added threat presented by COVID-19 means that we all could benefit from a refresher and some guidance on what’s different this year. This is also a valuable moment to consider how we can improve our long-term resilience by restoring the natural systems that protect us.
We will be addressing both hurricane preparedness, and the concept of “Multiple Lines of Defense” in a webinar with guests Rubby Douglas from the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and Kristi Trail, Executive Director of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation.
The webinar will take place on Tuesday, June 16th, at 12:30. This webinar is the first in a monthly series and we hope that you will join us and share your feedback as well as ideas for topics you would like to see us cover in the future.
You can also check out the event on Facebook and share with your friends.
