Today is World Suicide Prevention Day...

...and the start of the Greater Manchester #MonthofHope

After a tough 18 months, it’s more important than ever to look out for each other and have open conversations about our mental health.

Carlo, from Carlo’s Barbers in Royton is an advocate for suicide prevention and has created a safe, supportive space for his customers to share their feelings and receive emotional support.

Active Neighbourhoods - Chadderton North and Westwood

If you'd like to find out more about proposals for Active Neighbourhoods in Chadderton North and Westwood, pop along to the Play Streets Pop-up Event on Sunday 19 September.

The event is taking place on Berriesfield from 11am-12.30pm and Stirling Street from 1-2.30pm.

You'll have the opportunity to talk to the project team, find out more about the project and ‘the story so far’. Oldham Play Action Group will also be running a Play Street.

Public Workshop
The third public workshop to develop plans for the Active Neighbourhood will be taking place on Tuesday 22 September.

Using key finding from two previous workshops, the project team will be using a toolkit to design safer and quieter streets.

It's Cycle September!

During Cycle September, riding your bike (and encouraging others to ride theirs) will also earn you entry into some great prize draws.
