Morrison Announces Nationwide "Certificates of Vaccination" Scheme to Limit Unvaccinated Aussies' Freedoms

Under the new Liberal/National scheme outlined by Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Australians without "certificates of vaccination" will have their freedom to travel, shop, and attend events greatly restricted.

When asked point-blank if this scheme is effectively a vaccine passport system the PM responded weakly with, "that's not how I refer to them... people have certificates of vaccination".

However, the PM can rebrand vaccine passports all he wants, the intent is clear. Under the PM's plan, in his own words, "any venue, any venue, any pub, any café, any restaurant, any shop" will have the right to deny entry to Australians who are unvaccinated.

Morrison has also announced he wants to expand the power of QR code readers used by the states so they can show whether you're vaccinated to make enforcing the limitation of freedoms easier.
This Liberal/National vaccine passport plan is an unprecedented move to restrict freedoms of healthy Australians and has huge privacy implications—every Australian should have concerns.

The Liberals and Nationals can spin the roll-out of vaccine passports all they want. The government might be claiming that it’s not making these vaccines mandatory, but One Nation trusts the people of Australia to see the truth. Shutting people out of society is an abuse of fundamental human rights and this might as well be the mandate the PM denied would ever be introduced.

One Nation will keep working to oppose vaccine passports and expose the Government’s lies, and with your support we will soon have the chance to send the Government a strong message at the next election and take our freedoms back.

Do our Diggers Deserve the Same Concessions as Sports Stars, WAGS and Refugees?

While Annastacia Palaszczuk has found room in Queensland for hundreds of arrivals from Afghanistan and granted them special exemption from her border crossing ban, the same concessions were not granted in a timely way to the Queensland soldiers who were sent to their rescue.

Premier Palaszczuk was also very quick to provide sports stars and their wives with special treatment but the same exemptions to come home were not granted to our troops.

News Corp reported that Queensland soldiers sent to Afghanistan were held up in Dubai because the Palaszczuk government had not approved a special hotel quarantine exemption for them.

The Courier-Mail’s coverage of the story on 7th September, 2021 states that, "Despite the government providing exemptions to cricketers and the wives and girlfriends of NRL players, Health Minister Yvette D’Ath last night confirmed a deal for the return of 40 diggers involved in the Kabul rescue-mission was still being negotiated".

"A mother of a digger involved in the rescue mission said she was 'dumbfounded and disgusted' when informed by her son in Dubai that the ADF had been unable to secure hotel quarantine for the Queensland deployment."

"'Apparently, according to Queensland Health, there is not enough room, the mother said."

"Personally, I feel this is a disgusting way to treat the brave Aussies who put their lives on the line to help others in need", said Senator Hanson.

The Brisbane Times reported the next day that, “A war of wards has broken out between Peter Dutton and Queensland Health Minister, Yvette D’Ath about whether she tried to contact him about the return of Aussie Diggers into hotel quarantine”.

Whether this is intentional, or part of the bureaucratic nightmare overseen by Labor in Queensland, Senator Hanson’s view is that this is “inexcusable”.

We’d love to hear from you. Do our diggers in Afghanistan deserve the same timely travel concessions we have been granting sports stars, WAGs and refugees? Are we seeing growing elitism and does the Minister’s explanation of a wrong mobile number really stack up to scrutiny?

New Biosecurity Bill Provokes
Widespread Alarm – a worrying
sign that many are now fearful of their
own government

One Nation’s Stephen Andrew, MP for Mirani

Many people have been calling and emailing Stephen Andrew, MP for Mirani, during the last few days. He says they are “extremely alarmed over a new Bill introduced into Federal Parliament on 1 September 2021”. Stephen explains the bill’s broader powers below:

The Biosecurity Amendment (Enhanced Risk Management) Bill 2021, grants the federal government significant new emergency powers, and one such power is ringing alarm bells across the country.

The provisions causing the most angst are those expanding the State’s power under the Act to impose draconian ‘biosecurity control orders’ over people.

Currently, this power is limited to “individuals”. The new Bill expands this power to include whole groups or “class of individuals” as well.

Under the current Act, the power to impose Biosecurity Control Orders give the government almost unlimited powers to restrict people’s movement, mandate medical tests, examinations and the taking of “samples”, as well as “medical treatments” such as vaccination.

While the notion of ‘consent’ is retained under the Act, failure to comply means individuals, and now groups, can be “detained” for as long as “necessary”.

They can also be charged with offences punishable by up to 15 years in prison, under the new Bill.
These are draconian and coercive powers, and Australians are right to be concerned at any expansion of them.

However, after reading through the Bill carefully, it appears that the new powers DON’T apply to ‘groups’ or ‘classes of individuals’ WITHIN the general population.

Under Clause 4 of the Bill, Section 3 of the Act is amended as follows:

“Methods of managing risk to human health include imposing a human biosecurity control order on an individual, and making a human biosecurity group direction for a class of individuals, who have, or have been exposed to, a listed human disease”.

The critical issue here is what is the Bill’s definition of “class of individuals”.

According to the Bill a “human biosecurity group direction means a direction made under section 108B”.

Clause 108B reads:
(2) “Class of individuals must be all the individuals, or a group of individuals, who:
(a) Are on board an aircraft or a vessel that is in Australian territory; or
(b) The officer is satisfied are at a landing place or port in Australian territory, or at a place that is in close proximity to a landing place or port in Australian territory, where an aircraft or vessel has arrived at the landing place or port”.

The newly created powers therefore only apply to those ‘groups’ and ‘classes’ of people travelling to and from Australia, either by plane or ship, that is a ‘vessel’.

Having said that, even if it isn’t the one-way trip to an internment camp that some Australians are concerned about, this Bill is still a worrying glimpse into the mindset of our leaders.

Commonwealth Electoral Amendment
(Integrity of Elections) Bill 2021

The inquiry into One Nation's bill to ensure the integrity of our elections is now open for public submissions. Senator Malcolm Roberts has introduced this bill which is designed to audit elections and require voters to provide some form of identification to guard against any cracks in the system. Senator Roberts says the bill has been referred to an inquiry, and submissions are now open. He says, “I encourage interested parties to read the explanatory memorandum and make submissions to the inquiry as soon as possible.”
