[1]Women's March
John, it's never
been more clear that Roe v. Wade is in grave danger of being overturned.
Six-week abortion bans have been passed in nine states. Texas' new
abortion restrictions place bounties on abortion providers’ heads. Our
right to access abortion care remains under constant assault and the
opposition has co-opted social media to spread harmful disinformation to
manipulate users.
Now we need to band together and call out dangerous abortion myths online
to protect the reproductive rights we have won. And that's exactly what a
dedicated team of online Women's March volunteers called Digital Defenders
does every day — specifically those on our Abortion Defenders track that
focuses on reproductive rights.
Now, we want you to be a part of this important work,
John. By joining our upcoming
Digital Defenders training for our reproductive rights track with partner
organization NARAL, you’ll learn how to push back against anti-choice
rhetoric and dangerous myths about reproductive rights online using a
values-based approach. While this program focuses on disinformation
defense online, these skills can easily be translated to campaigning and
organizing on the ground, wherever you are.

memes and gifs, and want to become an active part of a Facebook community,
then sign up for one of our upcoming Digital Defenders virtual trainings
happening on September 23 or September 30. You'll join our Abortion
Defenders and reproductive rights track to focus specifically on this
urgent work.

During this training session for the reproductive rights track of our
Digital Defenders program, we'll learn the difference between
misinformation and disinformation on social media, learn about myths about
abortion and women’s health that circulate online, and even get some
hands-on practice.
This training is right for you if you are comfortable navigating social
media, using graphics such as memes and gifs, and becoming an active part
of a Facebook community. We want to be transparent with you about the
requirements for the volunteer position in order to respect your time.
If that sounds like you, and if you're passionate about defending our
abortion rights, then sign up now to become an official Digital Defender
for reproductive rights with Women's March: [ [link removed] ]You can choose between our
sessions on September 23 OR on September 30. Both will be 75 minutes from
