You probably recognize him. He was President Donald Trump’s Secretary of the Interior. During his time in Trump’s cabinet, he made a reputation for himself — and it wasn’t a good one.

Zinke was reportedly breaking ethics rules left and right, finding himself in numerous scandals and 18 federal investigations (multiple are still ongoing). It got so bad that Zinke finally resigned in disgrace.

Here’s just a sampling of Zinke’s alleged misconduct: gave his buddy, Florida Governor Rick Scott, a loophole from the off-shore drilling ban; censored any mention of man-made climate change in department reports; retaliated against a whistleblower; landed a real estate and microbrewery deal after meeting with an executive from massive oil company Halliburton; spent hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on himself and his wife. The list goes on.

Ryan Zinke is the Republican candidate running for Montana’s newest U.S. House seat, and you can bet he’ll continue this same kind of corrupt behavior in office — but not if we elect Laurie Bishop.
