Let's face it - Biden is failing Americans. On top of the ongoing Afghanistan crisis overseas and skyrocketing inflation here at home, our borders are not secure. To make matters worse, now Biden is building new facilities for border guards in Tajikistan to defend the Tajik-Afghan border.
Our southern border is overrun with gangs, drugs, human trafficking, COVID cases, etc., but Biden would rather spend our U.S. tax dollars strengthening another country's border. Does that make any sense to you?
It is a slap in the face to our country when our border officials have begged Biden for additional help, but he has widely ignored their pleas and is sending resources elsewhere. Unbelievable.
Biden's open border policies have caused this crisis. Although it is the federal government's responsibility to fix it, Texas has stepped up as the Biden Administration continues to sell out our country. We are picking up the slack where Biden is failing.
To combat Biden's border crisis, Texas has extended a disaster declaration to 43 counties, providing more resources and strategies for our border officials. We have also approved an additional $1.8 billion for border security. Despite Biden putting a pause on border wall construction, Texas has taken the initiative to spend more than $750 million to finish the wall.
While the Left continues to ignore the crisis and the safety of Americans, it is up to Texas to fill in the gap. We will do everything we can to protect the people of Texas and secure our borders, and I would like to count on your help.
