Friend,
Clean energy tax credits MUST be included in the budget reconciliation package making its way through Congress.
Wanna know why? (And wanna know what they even are?) I could tell you1, but it'd be a lot more fun if you joined Evergreen's next Policy + Pints happy hour2, featuring Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR)3, to find out!
Policy + Pints with Senator Ron Wyden
feat. special guests (to be announced soon!)
Wednesday, September 15
4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT
RSVP NOW: [link removed]
Senator Wyden is a longtime champion of policies to grow the clean energy economy, combat the climate crisis, and create tons of new jobs in the process.
Another reason we're so honored to have him join us now in particular? He's one of the most important partners of the climate movement during reconciliation this month. Notably, he serves as chair of the Senate Finance Committee, meaning he'll be in charge of all revenue decisions during this process.
I'll lead the conversation as we talk about making commonsense and equitable changes to our nation's tax code to incentivize more clean electricity, clean transportation, clean manufacturing, and clean buildings (and get rid of fossil fuel handouts). If Democratic lawmakers like Senator Wyden act together, it can be doneāand reconciliation is our chance to do it. We'll raise a pint to that!
Senator Wyden is one of the climate movement's top allies in the Senate, so you won't want to miss this virtual event next Wednesday, September 15 at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT. RSVP today to tell us you'll be there!
Thanks,
Becca Ellison

2 As always, interpret "happy hour" as you wish! It's BYOWhatever floats your boat, whether that's a beer, an elaborate snack plate, or your favorite flavor of seltzer.
3 He was the chief sponsor of the Clean Energy for America Act, a tax credit bill, so if anyone can tell you what these tax credits are, it's him!
