Over the last week, I’ve joined the rest of the country in horror as we watched Texas enact the most restrictive anti-choice law in the country, effectively banning abortion after six weeks -- before many patients even know they’re pregnant.

The Texas bill even takes it a step further by deputizing private citizens to come after their neighbors to enforce the law -- placing a bounty on anyone who helps a woman make personal decisions about her health care.

Let me be clear: This law sets a dangerous precedent that threatens the health and freedom of women everywhere. As more states rush to pass similar laws, it’s critical we have pro-choice champions fighting at every level of government to ensure that people’s healthcare decisions remain between them and their doctor.

Friend, I’m coming to you directly because this November, we have a rare opportunity to flip an Ohio seat from red to blue, and send a pro-choice champion to Congress. Will you join me in supporting Allison by chipping in $5, $25, or more right away?

Friend, if Republicans regain control of the House and Senate, we can guarantee that they will continue their crusade to effectively overturn Roe v. Wade.
