So-called “moderates” like Senator Joe Manchin remain an obstacle to
long-overdue investments in working people, families, and our communities.

First, Manchin said we need to pause on delivering for the people.

Then, we pushed back to keep these investments moving forward.

Now, he wants to severely weaken provisions of the historic $3.5 trillion
spending bill. That means taking funding away from universal pre-K, free
community college, investments in home health care, fighting climate
change, and more. He even wants to cut the DEMOCRATIC bill all the way
down to $1.5 trillion.

Pramila has been clear in saying that there’s no flexibility on the price
tag, because she cares about delivering on ALL of the popular, necessary,
and urgent benefits in the spending bill — from paid leave to Medicare
expansion. [ [link removed] ]Can you chip in $3 to support Pramila’s
fight for child care, paid leave, Medicare expansion, action on climate
change, investments in education, and more? We need to step up now.

Voters elected a Democratic House and Senate. They sent Joe Biden to the
White House. And they overwhelmingly backed progressive policies for the
working people of this country. Corporations are spending massive amounts
to stop the $3.5 trillion bill because they don’t want their taxes to go
up (meanwhile, the Treasury Department just reported that the top 1
percent skip out on paying $163 billion in taxes PER YEAR).

We must pass the Democratic agenda and deliver economic and social
justice. We cannot listen to the corporate lobbyists and billionaire
donors who want to keep the status quo — one where climate change worsens
and people can’t afford child care, health care, and education.

[ [link removed] ]This is Pramila’s fight but it is also OUR fight. And we need to be in
this together. Can you contribute $3 today to support
Pramila’s work? She doesn’t take a cent from the corporations trying to
stop our investments in the people.

In solidarity,

Team Jayapal
