Rally Before the ExxonMobil Trial

Tuesday, October 22 at 11:45am
Foley Square (Manhattan)

For decades, Exxon lied to the public about climate change and, more recently, lied about the risks the current emergency poses to its shareholders. Now it's time to make them pay. Join us for a rally before the opening arguments of The People of New York VS ExxonMobil, where the state of New York will hold Exxon accountable for what could only be described as crimes against humanity. Spread the word and bring your friends. We want to make this huge!

Shut Down BlackRock!

Tuesday, October 29 at 8:15am
BlackRock Headquarters

The financial behemoth BlackRock is the world's largest investor in fossil fuels and must be made to divest from its outsized role in funding the climate crisis. Come to this rally—organized by New York Communities for Change and others and part of a broader international action—to help us keep the pressure on its executives, who have begun to feel the heat. This is a fight we can win, but we must keep up the pressure!

Williams Pipeline Update: Calling National Grid's Bluff

The last two weeks have seen encouraging developments in our fight against the Williams pipeline. After Governor Cuomo made his first-ever statement opposing the project last month, he more recently ordered National Grid to reconnect over 1,100 customers who had been denied gas hookups as a ploy to get the pipeline pushed through. Cuomo essentially called the utility's bluff, noting that the "proposed pipeline, if permitted, would not be in service until December 20 20 at the earliest," and therefore shouldn’t be a factor in the current moratorium. We await the findings of the full investigation. Until then, stay tuned for more ways we can keep the pressure on!
