Detroit DSA is a
1200+ member funded organization. We receive no money from outside
sources so we can say things like "Defund the Police" and "Abolish
ICE" without losing funding, and we will always act democratically in
the interests of our members and the working class! If you're able to, we ask that you make
monthly contributions as they more directly benefit our chapter. Thank
you for whatever amount you're able to contribute!
Our records indicate that you are not
yet a member. If you're ready to join us in standing
up for the working class, go to dsausa.org/join today!

It was wonderful seeing all of our
comrades who made it out last night to our Bernie Birthday
Bash! We shared inspiring stories from his presidential
campaigns, met lots of wonderful new comrades, and celebrated the man
who brought so many of us into the movement.
In case you missed it, don't fret -
there are ample opportunities to join your comrades at our General
Meeting on the 11th (followed by a Detroit
for All Canvass), a Public Speaking Class
on the 17th, Motor
City Pride on the 18th and 19th, and the return of
Socialist Night School with our Socialism
101 Series on September 21st!
There are plenty of opportunities for
you to join us this month in our fight for the socialist future the
working class deserves! We hope to see you soon.
Solidarity
forever,
Detroit DSA

Socialist Night School: Why We're Not "Progressives" - and Stand
With Socialism! September 21st, 6:30PM
The current political environment has shown now more than
ever the need to have more than just good ideas lying around. Join the
discussion of why we call ourselves socialists, and why we need strong
socialist policies and officials, not just progressives, to shape the
new landscape.
In addition to the educational content, Night School is a
great way to socialize with fellow comrades and get plugged in to
everything happening with Detroit DSA. Whether you are a DSA member or
just interested in socialism, Night School has something for
you!
