One week ago, the Supreme Court refused to block Texas' draconian abortion ban, effectively overturning Roe v. Wade in Texas and undoing nearly 50 years of constitutional protections for reproductive health.

This law is a repugnant, horrific, and blatantly unconstitutional attack on the reproductive freedoms and rights of millions of Texans. And already, other Republican-led states are lining up to pass identical laws.

We won't allow that to happen here in Oregon.

In 2017, Oregon Democrats passed the Reproductive Health Equity Act into law, codifying the right to legal abortion in Oregon and ensuring that any person in our state, no matter where they live or how much they make, has access to the full complement of reproductive health care.

The right-wing majority on the Supreme Court and the Republicans who put them there are waging a full-on assault on reproductive rights. But because Democrats like you have helped elect Oregon Democrats up and down the ballot, Roe v. Wade protections are safe here in Oregon.
