The student debt crisis has reached a record $1.6 trillion, folks.

Since day one, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has ignored the needs of students and sided with loan sharks, special interests, and her wealthy friends.

Unlike Secretary DeVos, I actually went to public school. And even taught music at a public high school right here in Big Sandy.

I know the value of a good education and the costs some folks pay to get it. That’s why I’m fighting like hell to protect students from Secretary DeVos’ predatory policies.

Under her reign, the federal program created to forgive college debt for public service workers has become a bureaucratic nightmare.

99% of people who have applied for the loan forgiveness program have been rejected.

Something’s going on and it’s time we get answers.
