The first job of a Prime Minister is to keep Canadians safe, friend.

After last night’s French-language leaders’ debate, Justin Trudeau had an important response to The Rebel. It’s an organization which the Canadian Press has described as “increasingly linked to the alt-right,” and which the Conservative Party maintained close ties with for far too long.



Trudeau challenged the politics of division and hate head-on, and strongly condemned those who are putting people in harm’s way by attacking science, public health measures, and life-saving vaccines.

Canadians deserve leadership that will do everything it takes to finish the fight against COVID-19, and won’t back down from doing the right thing. That includes supporting vaccine mandates for travellers on planes and trains (which O’Toole’s Conservatives won’t do), and strengthening Canada’s public health care system.
