California Governor Gavin
Newsom is facing an anti-democratic recall effort that threatens to put a
pro-Trump Republican in charge of our nation’s most populous state. I’ll

The truth is, the Republican recall in California has been largely fueled
by people who don’t like how Gavin Newsom has led with science during the
COVID-19 pandemic — through life-saving policies such as temporary
stay-at-home orders, mask mandates, and supporting mandatory vaccination
in schools.

Now, the GOP is mobilizing in large numbers to forcibly remove Gavin
Newsom from office and replace him with leading Republican candidate Larry
Elder, who is anti-mask on top of supporting a variety of extreme,
far-right policies.
