John,

If you watched last week’s Democratic debate, you probably saw Pete Buttigieg’s absurd, mealy-mouthed attacks on Medicare for All, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren.

But that’s not all: he also just launched a new ad buy attacking Medicare for All that again mentions Elizabeth Warren by name — paid for in part by the $2,800-a-plate closed-door fundraisers he’s been holding with big-money donors.1

We can’t let these attacks go unanswered. We need to make sure that every dollar that Pete and his corporate funders spend on smearing Medicare for All is matched by OUR grassroots strength.

Split a donation today and help WFP and Elizabeth Warren’s campaign fight back against these heavily-funded smears from Pete Buttigieg and his Wall Street donors.

Pete Buttigieg’s decision to go directly after Elizabeth Warren on this issue should not come as a surprise to anyone.

Wall Street donors and members of the corporate Democratic establishment attend these kinds of big-money fundraisers precisely because they want to undermine progressive policies like Medicare for All. And they’re probably thrilled that this is how Pete decided to use their big checks.

Elizabeth Warren is building a movement for big structural change, and she’s doing it without the help of high-dollar fundraisers, super PACs, or lobbyists. Which means it’s on grassroots supporters like US to fuel this work — and help fight back when opponents launch these types of cheap attacks.

Can we count on you to make a split donation today? Pete Buttigieg may call our grassroots donations “pocket change,” but the truth is, this is how we will elect Elizabeth Warren to the White House and a slate of fearless progressives to the House, Senate, and state legislatures all over America.

Thanks for your continued support as we work to make Medicare for All and our entire progressive vision a reality. The corporate attacks on progressive candidates are only going to get worse as this election cycle continues, so it means so much that you’re with us.

In solidarity,

Team WFP
