Dear John,

With the midterm elections just over one year away, I just wanted to share a quick update on my friend, Congresswoman Val Demings, and her campaign to flip Florida’s Senate seat (and save our Democratic Senate majority):

KEY RACE UPDATE: FLORIDA SENATE

  • Since I last emailed, two polls have come out showing this race in a dead heat. The latest from St. Pete Polls has Val Demings just two points behind Sen. Marco Rubio—well within the margin of error

  • CNN labeled Florida’s Senate seat one of the ten most likely to flip next year.

  • Val Demings called for the Senate to get rid of the filibuster—laying out exactly what is at stake in this election.

DONATE NOW TO ELECT VAL DEMINGS!

Val has her most important FEC fundraising deadline to-date coming up at the end of this month—and Republicans will be watching her numbers closely to determine the strength of her campaign.

Will you rush $5, $25—whatever makes sense for your budget—to fuel Val’s people-powered campaign to turn Florida blue and save our Senate majority? I promised this team could raise her $12,000 by midnight tomorrow.

We can’t let Mitch McConnell retake the majority. Thank you for stepping up.
