It’s September, which can only mean one thing – we’re less than two months away from Election Day! After months of making phone calls, collecting donations, and writing postcards, we are finally in the home stretch.

We talk a lot about the importance of donating early, so that candidates are able to hit the ground running and demonstrate they have a viable campaign. With just over 50 days until the election, this is our last best chance to raise early money for our candidates.

In 2017, flipping the Virginia legislature seemed impossible. But together, we turned what seemed like a faint hope into a tangible possibility, and finally a reality in 2019. Since then, a Democratic majority has passed progressive legislation from protecting abortion access to expanding voting rights to raising the minimum wage.

There’s no question that the stakes are high in 2021. Recent polling has shown that the Democrats have a very real chance of losing the House of Delegates, and even the governorship.
