Dear John, The deadline to nominate a chapter for a PFLAG Chapter Award is tomorrow...have YOU submitted your nomination yet? The PFLAG Chapter Network of nearly 400 chapters is always working hard to provide support, education, and advocacy in their local communities, their regions, across their states, and across the country. When COVID-19 hit, many of them quickly pivoted to take advantage of virtual resources via PFLAG Connects, the PFLAG National program that meets people as they are, where they are, whenever they need PFLAG. We will once again honor PFLAG Chapters with PFLAG National Chapter Awards at We Are the Change: The 2021 PFLAG National Convention (this year's all-virtual event will take place Friday, October 22-Sunday, October 24). We want to honor chapters that made a difference during this difficult moment -- those who showed up and did the work their communities needed to make life better for LGBTQ+ people and their families, via virtual and digital resources. We want to hear from you: Which chapter helped make a difference for you in the last two years? The PFLAG National staff will review all nominations and select winners from your submissions. The nominating process will be open until tomorrow, Friday, September 10th at 5pm ET. |
