Dear John,

Health Affairs, the leading journal of health policy research, offers a nonpartisan forum to promote analysis and discussions on improving health care and health policy. With our events, we bring together a diverse audience from the public and private sectors, academia, and media to share insightful conversations on the latest policy topics affecting health care today.

This fall, we are delighted to introduce a new schedule of free virtual events designed to showcase exciting thinkers, policy makers and policies; drill deeper into our signature content; and hone the skills of a new generation of health policy researchers and aficionados.

VIEW THE FULL SERIES OF EVENTS AND REGISTER TODAY

Based on the success of our Policy Spotlight series (last session included more than 1,300 registrants), we are expanding our events program to include Lunch & Learns, a Journal Club, and professional development sessions.

Health Affairs Briefings

For more than a decade, our flagship Health Affairs Briefings events have highlighted the best material from the journal’s thematic issues and topics of interest to top health care policy makers, clinicians, and researchers.

  • October 8: Perinatal Mental Health

Lunch and Learn

At these midday mini-symposia for policy professionals, Health Affairs hosts top researchers and analysts on timely topics and initiatives impacting health policy. Speakers are set to take a deep dive into the specifics of an issue, survey the latest efforts from policymakers, and provide valuable insight into what’s working and what approaches can be successfully replicated.

Journal Club

Inspired by a century-old tradition of convening researchers to keep abreast of the latest developments in a scholarly field and promote evidence-based practices, Journal Club features authors of an impactful Health Affairs study for an up-close look at research, methods, and findings.

Professional Development

Join Health Affairs editors and special guests for these gatherings aimed at early to mid-career stage professionals offering “how to” tips for scholarly publishing, peer review, and enhancing communication skills to build your profiles in academia, traditional media, and social media.

We hope you can find a topic of interest and join us this fall.
