John,

We’re so excited to share some news with you — yesterday, we launched our new and improved Democracy Docket website [[link removed]]. It’s been in the works for a while, and our platform expands at a time that could not be more important for the future voting rights. Plus, we now have merch [[link removed]] so that you can wear democracy on your sleeve.

As the fights escalate — in Congress, state legislatures and the courts — we’re ramping up our content to protect voting rights and fair representation. We have better navigation to explore active court cases [[link removed]] , filtered by state or topic, so Democracy Docket can be your go-to platform for all things voting and elections.

Make sure not to miss our merch store [[link removed]] for t-shirts, mugs, tote bags and more. Maybe even something for democracy’s favorite dogs?

Also, don’t miss today’s Spotlight from John Legend! [[link removed]]

Award-winning American singer, songwriter and producer John Legend wrote a Spotlight exclusively for Democracy Docket [[link removed]], arguing for the moral and democratic necessity of universal suffrage. Currently, over 5 million citizens in this country — roughly 75% of whom are living in their communities and 25% serving sentences behind bars — can’t vote because of a felony conviction.

“The loss of voting rights, and with it, the essence of our American citizenship, is no small thing,” writes Legend.

As always, thanks for joining us in the fight and staying in the loop about all things democracy.
