Hi John,

Since the foundation of The World Transformed in 2016, Global Justice Now has been an event partner for the festival that builds a collaborative, creative and open approach to political education and organising on the left.

This year, after a fully online edition for both TWT and Labour Conference in 2020, we are very excited to be going back to Brighton and taking part! And you can join us too, even if you can’t make it in person – there's a host of online and hybrid sessions, including ours.

People’s Vaccine Rally @ The World Transformed

When: Saturday 25 September, 7.30pm
Where: Brighthelm Centre, Brighton

Global Justice Now, together with our friends from Nurses United in the US and Progressive International, will host a People’s Vaccine Rally on Saturday, 25 September, with John McDonnell MP, our own Nick Dearden, Varsha Gandikota from India and campaigners from South Africa and the US.

People’s Vaccine organising workshop @ The World Transformed

When: Sunday 26 September, 7.30pm
Where: Brighthelm Centre, Brighton + online

On Sunday, 26 September, we invite you to an interactive organising session where you can join people from across the world in the fight to end the Covid vaccine apartheid – all you need to take part is a laptop.

Then on Monday, 27 September, we will be discussing Labour’s response to vaccine apartheid at the Labour Conference fringe event we are co-organising with our friends from StopAIDS, Just Treatment and Oxfam. You don’t have to be a Conference delegate or even a Labour member to attend. We’ll hear from Baroness Shami Chakrabarti, Shadow Secretary for International Development Preet Gill, Sangeeta Shashikant, Legal Advisor at Third World Network and more.

‘Global vaccine access - what is Labour's plan?’ (fringe meeting)

When: Monday 27 September, 6pm
Where: The Walrus pub, Ship Street, Brighton + streamed online

We demand a People’s Vaccine photo stunt

When: Sunday 26 September, lunchtime
Where: Brighton beach, directly in front of Brighton Conference Centre
