Amazon to ship goods for outside sellers

Amazon is offering delivery service to select external merchants as it continues to invest in its logistics and delivery operations. The company's seven-year-old transportation network now has more than 70 planes, 70,000 trucks and vans, and 400,000 drivers around the world.

The US transportation sector had an unemployment rate of 6.4% in August, which is down over 50% from a year ago but still higher than the August 2019 rate of 4.8%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Overall unemployment was 5.2%, down from 8.4% in August 2020.
