Friend,

Innocent Americans have dealt with tragedy after tragedy from
gun violence – yet congressional Republicans refused to even hold
a hearing to address the issue.

As Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, I am doing everything
I can to take action to save lives. That's why I chaired the
first congressional hearing on gun violence in eight years. We
have bipartisan legislation ready to move.

We will no longer remain silent about the devastating impact
of mass shootings and gun violence on communities around the
nation.

Sign on now to support taking sensible action on gun
violence. We have a goal of having 20,000 signers by next week to
raise the pressure necessary to get Republicans to do their job
and stop obstructing.

There are common-sense gun safety measures Congress can pass
to take assault weapons out of the hands of mass murderers – like
universal background checks. We’ve all seen the incredible
activism of students and families around the country demanding
that we do something to stop the violence.

Democrats are joining their calls. But Republican
inflexibility and constant bowing to pressure from the NRA has
prevented Congress from doing what’s right for America’s families
and children. That must change.

We know what to do. We must summon the courage and the will
to do it.

Urge Republicans to find the will to act on gun reform
legislation now. Sign on here.

Thanks for making your voice heard. It’s unconscionable for
Congress to continue stalling on gun reform and addressing gun
violence.
