Crowds don’t start chanting “send her back” for no reason. Donald Trump’s words and policies have incubated a culture of xenophobia and hatred that we must stand against because it violates the very soul of what our nation stands for.

The United States is a nation of immigrants. We are a diverse array of communities with people from all backgrounds. That is not our weakness — it is our strength.

Even if you’re the President of the United States, you can’t deport someone just because you disagree with them. Suggesting that reality and using the bully pulpit to stoke hate is unacceptable and dangerous.
