John,

Tomorrow there is a critical hearing in our lawsuit on behalf of Rev. Patrick
Mahoney and the prayer vigil he wants to hold outside on Capitol Grounds to
commemorate the fallen and pray for peace on September 11th.

The court will decide whether to grant our request of a temporary restraining
order that would enjoin the government from continuing to discriminate against
Reverend Mahoney and his religious speech.

If you haven’t heard about this case yet, Rev. Mahoney is an internationally
known pro-life activist and Presbyterian minister – he's held prayer services
on the lawn outside the U.S. Capitol for decades.

He did everything right; he followed all relevant procedures and requested a
permit to host a prayer vigil on the Capitol lawn to commemorate the 20th
anniversary of the tragic events of September 11th, 2001.

But unelected bureaucrats decided to shut down his constitutional rights even
though they’ve allowed leftists like Cori Bush to take over the Capitol steps
for days at a time without punishment.

Just weeks ago, Rev. Mahoney was arrested within ten minutes while peacefully
advocating for the Hyde Amendment on the very spot that Cori Bush and others
were allowed to protest.

And now, the left has made it clear that they want NO religious expression at
the Capitol – even on 9/11.

Rev. Mahoney’s First Amendment rights are being ignored and violated, plain
and simple.

Our rights are on the line and I hope you’ll keep standing with us as we enter
the courtroom tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Sincerely,

PS: Tomorrow, our team will argue Reverend Mahoney’s case in federal district
court. I don’thave to tell you how high the stakes are in this case as we
cannot allow government bureaucrats to pick and choose winners and losers with
our constitutional rights. Will you stand with us as we advocate for Rev.
Mahoney’s free speech rights?
