The COVID-19 pandemic is still with us.

New cases pop up every day, and many families and small businesses are struggling.

But instead of working to encourage vaccines and invest in our public health infrastructure, some Republican politicians are choosing to focus on petty politics instead.

Republican governors like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott are playing games and risking lives.

As elected officials, it’s our job to help people. Saving lives shouldn’t be a political issue.

I’ve been working with Senate Democrats to make sure we are doing everything we possibly can to help people in Illinois and across the country come back stronger from this crisis.

But Mitch McConnell and the Republicans are hard at work trying to take the Senate back -- and advance the dangerous, anti-science GOP agenda. We can’t let that happen, John.
