Abbott Signs Texas Election Law, Ending a Fierce Voting Rights Battle
— NYTimes John,
After a spectacular fight from Texas House Democrats, the voter suppression legislation we’ve all been trying to avoid has passed into law in Texas.
With states across the country continuing to push restrictive voting rights bills, it’s clear that we need to take action at the federal level to protect the right to the ballot box.
We have one more big chance this year with the John Lewis Voting Rights Act — it’s passed the House and now it is time for the Senate to act.
Republican Senators have blocked voting rights legislation every step of the way, because they know it’s easier for them to win when voter turnout is low. It’s time for Republicans to stop stalling — add your name TODAY to demand that the Senate take action on voting rights → [[link removed]]

This year, 400+ voter suppression bills have been introduced in 48 states — it has never been more clear that our freedom to vote is under attack. The only way to guarantee voting rights for all is through federal action.
I will always stand for protecting the right to vote — sign on to demand the Senate take action on voting rights → [[link removed]]
Thank you for taking a stand with me.
Be well,
Ami
