This Sunday, join us at Hayward
City Hall to spread the word about one of the cornerstones of Bernie
Sanders’s campaign: Medicare
for All! Medicare for All will
put an end to private, for-profit health insurance and provide
healthcare to more than 30 million currently uninsured Americans. In
guaranteeing healthcare to all Americans as a right, the US will join
nearly every other developed country. And for the first time in our Bernie campaign, we will be
canvassing new territory in Hayward near City Hall! As socialists, we
are committed to building a broad, diverse working-class movement
across the East Bay. Join us as we lay the groundwork for the
political revolution in Hayward!

Bernie understands that marketized,
private health insurance will never be able to guarantee everyone the
healthcare they deserve. The inadequacy of a market-based intervention
like The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is clear. From 2013-2016
there were an average of 530,000 medical bankruptcies per year, and because of the inadequacy of
our current system, more than 250,000 medical fundraising GoFundMe campaigns are created per year.
Bernie’s Medicare for All plan would end the
exploitative nature of healthcare in the US and provide everyone
comprehensive
coverage, free at the point of
service.
Bernie’s policies are inspiring,
and we know from experience that for many, the next step to getting
involved in building our diverse, working-class movement is to meet
someone face-to-face who is ready to have a conversation about the
issues that impact them and the solutions they are so excited about!

No prior canvassing experience necessary - please bring your family, friends,
neighbors, and coworkers!

for All rally and short training will start at Noon, but late arrivals
will be trained as well.
