Kevin McCarthy represents (and defends) the very worst of the far-right. He joked about hitting Nancy Pelosi with the Speaker's gavel, tried to block the expanded child tax credit, and has been spineless in standing up to Trump.

McCarthy is threatening telecom companies that comply with Jan. 6th investigators who are asking for phone records from the day of the insurrection. It turns out the committee wants McCarthy's records too, and he's clearly obstructing their investigation. At best it's unethical, at worst it's illegal.

On the other hand, you have Marisa Wood.

Marisa is a 20-year veteran teacher in our public schools and her entire career has been about serving students and their families. She's running for Congress to fight for health care access, education funding, immigration reform, environmental protection and much more.

We have to make sure voters know that Marisa is the viable Democrat running against McCarthy. That means we need a TON of people chipping in grassroots contributions so we can build a robust voter contact program to reach more voters.
