The stakes of this election are clear:

This is our first opportunity to elect a Democrat in nearly three decades, and for the future of our state and our country, we cannot squander it.

For Montana this election means finally having a real voice in Congress -- someone who won’t play games with our lives or kowtow to corporate special interests.

Thanks to almost half a century of poor Republican economic policies, the Montana I grew up in has become the playground for the rich, where folks in the middle can’t afford to live, no matter how hard they work.

And the creation of this new Congressional seat is shoring up GOP show ponies trying to gain power -- these Washington bureaucrats and lobbyists are in it for themselves, not for Montana.

We’ve seen the consequences of their “leadership” -- we’re living it right now: stagnant wages, deadly fire seasons, skyrocketing housing prices, attacks on LGBTQ and women’s rights, and more.

This election is our chance to give Main Street Montana a voice. We both know it, we deserve better. We deserve fair wages, a decent place to live, and economic security. We deserve leaders who will work hard for Montanans, and not out-of-state corporate interests.

For our country this election means saving and expanding our Democratic majority, which can act to defend our democracy.

And since Montana just got this seat after the 2020 census, Republicans are desperately trying to claim this seat in hopes to retake the Majority and abuse their power to undo all our progress for voting rights, the environment, and more.

This race can decide everything. That’s why I’m running to bring that Montana work ethic to Washington to fight for the hard working folks who have been left behind by Republicans’ abuse of power and neglect of duty.
