John, there’s less than one week until California votes on whether to recall Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom from office, and the stakes are incredibly high.
If 50% or more vote “no” by September 14th, Governor Gavin Newsom will remain in office — if 50% or more vote “yes,” the governor will be removed and replaced — potentially by a Republican.
Polls show that this decision will be extremely close — John, will you sign up to volunteer today to help make sure that California voters get their ballots in on time and vote “no” on the recall?
Here are three ways that you can get involved:
[ 1 ] Click here to sign up for a phone banking shift with the California Democratic Party to reach voters in California. Pacific Time Zone shifts are available now through Saturday.
[ 2 ] Click here to sign up for a phone banking shift with the Democratic National Committee. There are many shifts available from now through Election Day, September 14th.
[ 3 ] If you’re a Spanish speaker, click here to sign up for a phone banking shift with the DNC’s Spanish Call Crew. Shifts are available on September 13th and 14th before the recall election.
The opponent who has the most potential to unseat Governor Newsom is a member of the Trump wing of the Republican Party. He does not hold the interests of Californians at heart, and we must prevent him from winning the recall election at all costs.
The Connecticut Democratic Party supports Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom’s leadership, and we’re committed to helping our friends at the California Democratic Party keep their state blue.
Thank you for stepping up in this crucial moment for democracy. California is counting on us.
