Democrats have had more than 230 days in power and they haven’t done two very straightforward things: 1) End the filibuster 2) Protect abortion rights.

It shouldn’t have taken a crisis for Democrats in Congress to protect abortion rights. But now, with Texas’s 6-week abortion ban in effect and states rushing to enact similar restrictive laws, millions of people are already seeing their reproductive rights stripped away. And Democrats STILL won’t end the filibuster.

Abortion rights, voting rights, racial justice, action on climate change, and so much more are being blocked by Democrats unwilling to get rid of the racist, archaic filibuster. But we won’t stop fighting.

We said as soon as Democrats took control of the Senate and President Biden took office, that Democrats needed to end the filibuster, pass legislation to protect the right to safe and accessible abortion, and expand the Supreme Court.

Now, Democrats are floundering while one of the largest states in the country has restricted abortion rights and the Supreme Court has effectively overturned Roe v. Wade.

We’re not only fighting for the immediate end of the filibuster and passage of federal legislation to protect the right to an abortion. We are also committed to electing Democrats who will fight for these urgent actions. The Democratic establishment hasn’t taken the clear steps necessary to protect abortion rights and avoid more disastrous decisions from the Supreme Court. We need to transform this Democratic Party, John.
