John,

Next week, senators will return to D.C. to consider proposals that would fix our democracy. Senators only have a few weeks to get democracy reform over the finish line before dozens of states across America will lock in gerrymandered voting districts for the next ten years.

Congress has a chance to pass a comprehensive democracy reform bill — but they have to act now. That’s why RepresentUs is holding a coordinated digital day of action on Monday, September 13th — the day senators go back to D.C. Here are two ways you can join:

  1. Join a phonebank on Monday, September 13th at 5:30pm ET to help call voters in key states and connect them directly to their senators’ office.
  2. Join the RepresentUs Tweetstorm on Monday, September 13th at 1:00pm ET. Senators and their staff use Twitter to gauge the mood and opinions of the American people. Let’s make sure they log on to a clear and loud consensus: save our democracy.

By converging on Washington the day the senate returns, our phone calls and tweets should force lawmakers’ hands and push them into passing democracy reform before voting districts are gerrymandered.

The Senate is going to be pulled every which way from Americans and special interest groups alike when they return to Washington. We have to be the loudest voice in their ear, John. We have to make sure the first issue they address is saving our democracy.

Will you join us next Monday, September 13th, for a nationally coordinated day of action? Hit the phones and call voters at 5:30pm ET or join our Tweetstorm at 1pm ET to demand the Senate do whatever it takes to save our democracy. Help us connect thousands of Americans with their senators so they can demand their elected representatives fix democracy.

Thank you,

Damon Effingham
