Last week, the Supreme Court allowed Texas to pass a law that would functionally ban abortion. It is a profoundly unconstitutional law and is the latest example of the continued effort from Republican-led states to undermine Roe v. Wade .

I am deeply committed to protecting a woman's right to choose, and I can’t stand idly by while this latest attack unfolds. It is why I believe the Senate must pass the Women’s Health Protection Act and codify Roe v. Wade into federal law — even if it means eliminating the archaic Senate filibuster.

But we can’t do this without protecting our Democratic majority in the Senate, and we’re going to need all the grassroots support we can get to power our work.
