Folks, I genuinely can’t believe what I’m seeing come out of Texas.

By refusing to intervene, the Supreme Court has upheld the Texas GOP’s dangerous ban on abortion as early as 6 weeks after conception -- and there isn’t even an exemption in cases of rape or incest.

To make matters worse, Republicans in Texas are empowering opponents of abortion by allowing private citizens to sue anyone they believe performs or aids in an abortion.

That means that anyone -- a doctor, an uber driver, a nurse, even a friend or family member -- can be sued by a stranger and get fined $10,000 plus legal fees for their involvement.

Texas is stripping away reproductive rights, turning citizens into bounty hunters, and putting the health and safety of thousands at risk.

The Texas GOP is setting a dangerous precedent and now we’re facing the looming threat of other Republican-led states adopting similar legislation.  

We’ve got to take a stand against this threat to reproductive rights. Will you add your name and join me in demanding the protection of the right to choose?
