John, we'll get right to the point:
2021 is on track to be the deadliest year for gun violence in recent memory. And what's worse is that as this epidemic continues to worsen, weapons of war – AR-15 assault weapons – that have been used to perpetrate some of the deadliest shootings in our country's history are still allowed on our streets.
|
We don't have to live like this — or die like this. New Zealand and Canada banned assault weapons after one mass shooting in each country. Yet here in the U.S., there have been more mass shootings than days this year, and it's still perfectly legal to walk into a store and walk out with a weapon of war.

What’s stopping us from banning these deadly weapons, designed to kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible? The NRA and their cronies in Congress. They've spent years blocking legislation to ban assault weapons and profiting off of the devastation that follows. But Brady and President Biden have taken on the gun lobby before – and won. I know we can do it again, but we need everyone’s voice demanding change with us.

With gun violence prevention champions in Congress and the White House, we are closer than ever to banning these weapons of war for good. Brady is fighting harder than ever and we need your input to set our priorities moving forward. Will you take 2-3 minutes to complete this survey?

How important is it that elected officials at the state and national level ban assault weapons?
