John, I need to be frank:
We haven’t hit the benchmarks we need to reach our end-of-quarter goal coming up in just a few weeks. I’m going to explain why this deadline is so important, but first, could you give $3 to help us hit our target?

**HELP US HIT OUR $1,500 BENCHMARK BEFORE MIDNIGHT!**
As such a staunch Democrat, I’m sure you get a ton of gimmicky fundraising emails -- I know we can be guilty of it too.
But this end-of-quarter deadline is different, John: our fundraising numbers are going to be available for everyone to see.
That means Republicans will know just how strong our campaign is.
And since I don’t spend any time cozying up to big corporate-PACs, we have to work twice as hard to raise the funds necessary to be successful.
Because this grassroots team steps up when I need them, I can focus on what’s really important: building the best country possible.
So I really need to ask, John: Hitting every benchmark is critical to reaching our final $20,000 goal by September 30. We need to raise $1,500 to get back on track -- and we can’t do it without you. Can you give $3 or whatever you can afford at this critical moment?
