STOP DSEI! (EAST LONDON, UNDERWAY NOW ONGOING UNTIL 17 SEPT)

Next Tuesday sees the planned start of the London DSEI arms fair on 14
September, and the Tank the Arms Fair [1] day of action (more here [1])

This week has already seen entrances at ExCel in London blocked by activist
lock-ons, as well as protests, talks, vigils and workshops. The action
continues all week, through the weekend, and right through to when the arms
fair is scheduled to depart on the 17th.

Get the full programme of events and action days here [2], and follow all
the action via the Stop the Arms Fair Twitter [3].

STOP THE LIVERPOOL ARMS FAIR (LIVERPOOL, SAT 11 SEPT)

Join the big march in Liverpool saying no to the electronic warfare arms
fair, due to be held at the council-run ACC in the city
this autumn.

You can join the march at:

- 11.30am, the gates to Princes Park at the end of Princes Avenue [more
info [4]], towards city centre
- 12.30pm, approx, the Metropolitan Cathedral, also known as the Catholic
cathedral [more info [5]],

and then onto the ACC [more info [6]].

Updates via the @AgainstArms [7] Twitter.

ART THE ARMS FAIR! (CENTRAL LONDON AND ONLINE, 11-17 SEPT)

The popular gallery returns [8], showcasing art and poetry on themes of
conflict and peace. This year to mark CAAT's Nobel Peace prize nomination
with partners Mwatana for Human Rights, the exhibition will have a special
focus on the war in Yemen, with images of campaigners by photographer Cindy
Sasha.

As part of this year's exhibition, CAAT has commissioned a new film [9]
featuring Yemeni poet Amina Atiq which premieres online [10] on Saturday.

DIGITAL CONFERENCE AT THE GATES (ONLINE, SAT 11 SEPT)

Join us online for our regular conference, this year focused on
understanding the role that universities, especially the Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics faculties, play in supporting the
arms trade.

Find out more [11] and get free tickets here [11].

You can watch the new film [10] immediately after the conference.

BOLTON VS MBDA (BOLTON, TUES 14 SEPT)

Join Bolton CND / Stop the War on 14th Sept [12] on their vigil outside
MBDA in Bolton, in solidarity with the DSEI protests in London and with the
people of Yemen.

DSEI exhibitor MBDA's Storm Shadow missiles have been used extensively in
the Yemen conflict.

CAAT ON AFGHANISTAN (STATEMENT)

Find out the role British weapons have played [13] in the Afghanistan
calamity in our statement [13]marking the Afghan solidarity protests
outside DSEI this week.

DONATE - HELP MAKE OUR WORK POSSIBLE.

What we do would not be possible without your kind support: every bit of
which is hugely appreciated. If you have the means and would like to help,
you can donate here [14].

Whatever you are doing this coming week, thank you for your continuing
support, and for your resistance to the deadly arms trade.
