John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:Is the Left abusing vote by mail in Virginia's election this year? ([link removed]
In 2020, the Voter Participation Center and Center for Voter Information (CVI) carpet-bombed Virginia and other jurisdictions with absentee-ballot mailers. The groups are funded by "dark money" through two of Arabella Advisors' minions. But not all is well on the left: NPR has accused CVI of suppressing black voters, and many of CVI's absentee ballot requests have had incorrect return addresses. CRC's Hayden Ludwig anticipates mail-in confusion in the 2021 Virginia elections here. Why is the ACLU suing to mandate masks in schools?
The ACLU has long opposed nearly every kind of compelled behavior in schools, including simple discipline, but now it claims that forcing students to wear masks protects their civil liberties. Worse, the ACLU is using as its plaintiffs nonprofits that receive government funds. CRC's Parker Thayer exposes this emerging pattern of federally financed lawsuits against Republican governors, based on an upside-down definition of civil rights here. Can "woke" big business be saved?
In his book Woke, Inc., Vivek Ramaswamy explores the many manifestations of "woke capitalism," details its harmful effects on both capitalism and democracy, and offers ideas on how to mitigate these effects. The author has witnessed firsthand how the elite business world works--and elite academia and philanthropy too. CRC's Robert Stilson finds the author's description and analysis of woke capitalism illuminating but is less sure about his prescriptions here.Who is Secretary of State Blinken?
Secretary of State Antony Blinken served as deputy secretary of state in the Obama Administration, worked as a personal adviser to Vice President Joseph Biden, and founded WestExec Advisors, a consulting firm for defense contractors. Blinken is part of the establishment wing of the Democratic Party, and as such is not liked by the progressive wing. CRC's Shane Devine notes his nomination and others' signal the return to Democratic Party's foreign policy old guard here.

I was recently interviewed by NTD News on why young people are attracted to socialism. We discussed many things, but I stressed that the three greatest influences on young people are always family, culture, and schools, and we have problems in all three of those.

Liberal Myths About
H.R. 4
In this episode ([link removed] We've covered efforts to ensure that American elections are secure and that it's easy to vote and hard to cheat, but Congressional Democrats are continuing their efforts to remove security provisions from election law and to give federal bureaucrats control of administering elections. And while H.R. 1/S. 1, legislation to override essentially all state-level election administration regulations, has stalled in the Senate, House Democrats just passed their Plan B: H.R. 4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, named for the late Democratic congressman and civil rights movement figure.
Joining us to discuss the problems with the legislation and efforts to maintain election integrity provisions is Ken Blackwell, chairman of Council for National Policy Action and the Center for Election Integrity of the America First Policy Institute, who formerly served as secretary of state of Ohio from 1999 until 2007.
