Americans across the country are horrified by the tragedy in Afghanistan. Instead of leading the country through this crisis, Joe Biden lied to the American people, lied to our Afghan allies, and cared more about optics than saving lives. On August 31, a partial transcript of Biden’s phone call with Afghan President Ghani was leaked to the press. In the phone call, Biden pressured the Afghan President to “project a different picture” “whether it is true or not” to “change perception.” Furthermore, Biden promised President Ghani that he would provide air support to the Afghan military. Biden broke his promise, and the Afghan military suffered defeat in only a matter of days.

This damning phone call shows that Joe Biden never had a plan; all he had was a coverup. He lied, Americans died, and Congress must hold him accountable. I joined 26 of my House colleagues in a letter demanding Joe Biden immediately release the complete and uncensored transcript of his phone call with President Ghani.

The Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan has been a total failure. The Taliban is in possession of deadly military equipment, there are still hundreds of Americans stranded in Afghanistan, and 13 American service members died in a terrorist attack.
Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi continues to allow Congress to be in recess. Congress is providing no oversight, no one has been fired, there have been no investigations, and barely any members of Congress have been to the Capitol in over a month. I am standing with the House Freedom Caucus demanding that Congress come back into session to impeach Secretary Blinken and demand the resignation of Joe Biden, General Milley, and Secretary Austin.

I am proud to join 231 of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle in co-sponsoring a resolution to award the 13 service members who gave their lives in Afghanistan the Congressional Gold Medal so that our nation may never forget nor fail to honor their sacrifice.

Community organizations and local governments in Colorado raised $1.8 million to build the San Luis Valley radar, but its data sat unused for over a year due to delays at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). I partnered with local, regional, and state officials to look into the delay, and we were able to get the radar’s data integrated into the National Weather Service’s system. Now, farmers, ranchers, first responders, travelers, water districts, hikers, skiers, and Coloradans will benefit from increased accuracy in forecasting in the San Luis Valley and across the state.

This Labor Day and every day, I am grateful for the hardworking men and women of America who go to work every day to serve their communities and provide for their families without expecting anything in return. I am also grateful for our first responders, healthcare workers, farmers, ranchers, service members, and other hometown heroes who couldn’t take Labor Day off because they were busy serving the rest of us.
One of the first bills I introduced in Congress was the Protecting American Energy Jobs Act, to nullify and defund Biden’s executive orders targeting rural Colorado’s jobs. Biden’s job-killing executive orders are targeting Colorado’s energy jobs, and last year, Colorado lost 9,000 jobs in the oil and natural gas industry. Economists project that over the next 20 years, Colorado will lose over 200,000 jobs if we keep President Biden’s America last energy policies in place.

Since the start of the turmoil in Afghanistan, my office has been working nonstop to help Americans stranded abroad as well as our Afghan translators and allies. We have been able to reunite families, save lives, and evacuate our citizens and allies, and we are still working on getting families settled in America.

Alamosa Citizen, San Luis Valley weather radar system integrated into National Weather Service forecasts
“Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who represents the San Luis Valley, worked with state Sen. Cleave Simpson, who has been involved in developing the SLV radar system, to get NOAA to move forward with the integration.”
The Blaze, IMPEACH Biden, Harris, AND Pelosi? Rep. Lauren Boebert demands full accountability for Afghanistan disaster

Breitbart, Watch: Boebert Calls to Impeach Biden, Harris, and Sec. of State Blinken ‘if You Can Get Him Back from Vacation’
“The father of one of our fallen soldiers said, ‘Hey, I’m just a carpenter, and even I can figure out how horrible this exit strategy was.’ We all know that we needed to leave Afghanistan, and we all see how failed this mission was. He’s right, and you know it. His son did not deserve to die.”
