[[link removed]]Dear John,

Across the country, states have paved the way for progressive and ambitious
climate policy. These wins have come about due to tireless advocacy from youth
leaders, workers, environmental justice activists, communities, and more.

The lessons learned from state-level advocacy and policymaking can be—and have
been—instrumental in guiding federal policy, but now we need the resources to
act on climate.

Through budget reconciliation, we can make the bold investments necessary to put
people back to work in good-paying jobs; fight the climate crisis threatening
our health, economy and environment; prioritize environmental justice; and
accelerate the transition to a clean energy future (1) .

By making bold investments in climate, the federal government can:

* achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050;
* deliver on environmental justice, supporting our country’s most vulnerable
residents; and
* create good-quality and high-paying union jobs.

TAKE ACTION
