You're invited: Special 9/11 conversation with Rep. Barbara Lee, Amy Goodman & Win Without War
On Sept. 14, 2001, Rep. Barbara Lee was the sole member of Congress to courageously vote against the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force that plunged the United States into war with Afghanistan. The vote was 420-1.
Twenty years after this visionary vote, she remains a leader in fighting for cuts in the military budget and the repeal of the authorizations for war that George Bush launched two decades ago.
With the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaching, we'd like to invite you to a special conversation with Rep. Barbara Lee, who will be interviewed by Democracy Now!'s Amy Goodman and discuss lessons learned in the last twenty years with anti-war advocates, including CREDO grantee Win Without War.
