BREAKING via CNN: Texas 6-week abortion ban takes effect after Supreme Court inaction

John, in a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court has failed to stop the extreme anti-abortion Texas law from going into effect – nearly banning access to abortion for Texas women.

A vast majority of Americans are pro-choice, yet this decision has set the stage for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, so I’m urgently rallying Democrats to speak out NOW.

This is now the most extreme abortion ban in the entire country. This highly restrictive law prohibits abortions before most women even realize they’re pregnant. It even turns citizens into bounty hunters in an effort to intimidate those seeking and providing abortion care. Under this dangerous law doctors, nurses, clinics and even people who simply drive a person to an appointment can be sued for at least $10,000.

This attack on our constitutional right to a safe and legal abortion is frightening and should enrage the majority of Americans who support Roe v. Wade. That’s why it’s so critical that you personally speak out now, John.
