“Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signs law creating new voting restrictions“ - The Washington Post

Texas just made it harder for Black and brown Americans to vote. And they specifically targeted vote-by-mail.

Vote-by-mail is the best way to make voting more accessible, especially for young people and voters of color. So, after a limited expansion of voting by mail in Texas, Republicans rolled back the progress and passed S.B. 1 today -- a Georgia-style voter suppression bill.

Where do we go from here? We must organize and win -- from state legislative seats to the U.S. Senate. That’s where you come in. Vote From Home is starting early so we can win elections and put an end to Republicans’ national voter suppression movement.

John, can you rush a $25 donation to help us hold Abbott and his voter-suppression friends accountable?

As a reminder this Texas bill includes:

- RESTRICTS DROP BOXES
- EMPOWER PARTISAN “POLL WATCHERS” TO HARASS VOTERS
- BANS DRIVE-THRU VOTING
- ELIMINATES EXTENDED HOURS FOR VOTING
- CRIMINALIZES DISTRIBUTING VOTE-BY-MAIL APPLICATIONS

Our democracy is on the line. We are asking for your help.

Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail.
