John, we need to put the pressure on Big Oil CEOs right now.
For decades, Big Oil CEOs and fossil fuel companies have known about the immense threat that climate change poses to our planet. Yet over the course of nearly forty years, these companies have continued to spend millions of dollars to spread misinformation about fossil fuels — robbing our communities of the critical time needed to transition our economy onto renewable energy.
These fossil fuel companies have known for far too long that their decisions were actively advancing the climate crisis, and yet they continue to ignore the science and lie to the general public.
Our collective mobilization to demand accountability from the world's most powerful fossil fuel companies is needed now more than ever. We've already seen the destruction caused in our communities by careless and reckless profit-driven decision making. And Congress has continued to place Big Oil interests over the safety and security of our planet.
Together, we must show the fossil fuel industry — and the politicians they influence — that we won't allow their multi-billion dollar federal handouts to determine the future of our planet. We need to hold ExxonMobil and the countless other fossil fuel companies accountable for the major hand they continue to play in this climate crisis.
