You may have seen the big (and shocking…) news recently: Gov. McMaster FINALLY agreed to accept federal aid to boost South Carolina’s relief and recovery efforts.

Governor, thank you for finally doing what I asked you to do.

You read my letter demanding that you and your administration act over a month ago. I pleaded with you to put politics aside and take the federal money that was already allocated to our small cities & towns. I just wish it hadn’t taken you five weeks to do your job by simply requesting the federal money our small communities desperately need to help them recover.

But we don’t have to put up with this anymore. The people of South Carolina deserve better than your indifference and inaction, Governor.
