It’s clear what Congress must do in response to Republicans in Texas
passsing a cruel 6-week abortion ban and Trump’s conservative Supreme
Court letting this dangerous restriction remain in effect: We must end the
filibuster, pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, and protect abortion
rights.
I am continuing to lead on this urgent fight to end the filibuster.
Democrats in the Senate have the power to get rid of this archaic, racist
rule, and they need to do it right now. Abortion rights, voting rights,
civil rights, our environment, and so much more is on the line.

reproductive freedom nationwide? Inaction is not an option, as states
across the country begin following Texas’s lead in ending abortion access.

The Women’s Health Protection Act would codify the right to abortion care
and the right of health care professionals to provide abortion care, free
from unnecessary, punitive restrictions. It would also create a safeguard
against abortion bans and medically unnecessary restrictions.
We MUST pass this bill. The Texas law stripped abortion rights away from
millions of people; now other states like Florida are moving quickly to
pass similar bans. We can’t waste any more time, especially not on
something so destructive as the filibuster. End the filibuster, then pass
laws to protect abortion rights, voting rights, the environment, and more.
[ [link removed] ]Contribute $3 or anything you can to support my work to
end the filibuster and pass federal protections for abortion rights. The
Texas ban is already in effect — we must take action right now.
In solidarity,
Pramila
