Message From Linda: An Extra Measure of Care and Support

Dear Gateway Regional District Churches,

The Mission Council invites you to extend an extra measure of care and support to your area hospitals. Many are overwhelmed with Covid patients. At some hospitals there are not enough rooms to meet the demand and once again beds are lined up around nursing stations. Staff is exhausted and many are discouraged. We invite you and your congregation to take some simple steps to support staff during this time. Please consider the following:

1. Pray, pray, pray for the hospital staff.
2. Send notes and cards of encouragement.
3. Send pictures/drawings made by the children of your church.
4. Blessings bags are always appreciated.  These usually include candy or some kind of treat, a scripture verse and a note of care and support.

Please contact the hospital chaplain at your area hospital to make arrangements for delivery. Most hospitals now have some level of visitor restriction so it is important you make this connection first before arriving at the hospital.

Thank you for extending the blessing of an extra measure of care for hospital staff during a very stressful time.
